The services we provide include:

  • Full screening and counselling for people with infections which may have been spread by sexual contact
  • Pre and post HIV antibody testing with counselling by specialist HIV/AIDS advisers
  • Care and treatment of persons with HIV/AIDS related health problems, including referrals for dietary advice, counselling and specialist nursing support
  • Emergency contraception during general clinic times
  • Direct telephone helpline advice
  • Advice and management of other genito-urinary conditions, such as cystitis, thrush or abnormal cervical smears
  • General sexual health checks for singles and couples
  • Easy access, as no referral from a healthcare professional is necessary

Confidentiality

All information given by you is totally confidential and is kept within the department. Your GP will not be contacted unless you ask them to be, and give your consent, or if you have been referred by letter from your GP.
