Subsidy for real nappies

Waltham Forest Council offers up to £54.15 against the purchase of real nappies or the use of a real nappy washing service.  The scheme is funded by the North London Waste Authority.  To request a real nappy subsidy form, please contact Waltham Forest Direct on 0208 496 3000.

Throwaway nappies can cost up to £600 per baby, so using real nappes can save you money.

Around 800,000 tonnes of nappy waste are thrown away in the UK each year, so using real nappies will also reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill.
